Event Information

This Town Hall will be focused on disseminating the results from a mixed-methods study entitled “Systemic Racism and Occupational Therapy.” This study surveyed 89 occupational therapy practitioners and students regarding the impact of the (2020 OTAC Annual Conference Keynote Address entitled Confronting and Addressing Systemic Racism: Living Occupational Therapy Through Ubuntu) delivered by Drs. Frank Kronenberg and Elelwani Ramugondo. A team of researchers, representative of five academic institutions in California, engaged in this research to understand the impact of the Keynote at improving awareness of systemic racism in occupational therapy; influencing changes in professional practice, policy, and education; and examining the effectiveness of the virtual presentation format. We hope you can join us.
