Reflections for Better Clinical Practice Series

A virtual quarterly Region 5 event that welcomes everyone in the occupational therapy community to listen to, reflect on, and discuss real case studies presented by individuals in the local area. This event creates an energizing space for students and practitioners of all levels to reflect on how occupational therapy services are being delivered and share insights and knowledge that will advance the OT profession.

Two Topic - 1.5 PDUs


Topic 1: Integrating Financial Planning for Patients with Disabilities

Presented by: Anabelle Canty, OT/L, Entrepreneur, and Licensed Financial Professional

Objectives:

  • Facilitate reflection and discussion on current clinical practice
  • Bridge the gap - connecting theory to practice under real-life circumstances
  • Connect practitioners of all levels with the incoming generation of new practitioners
  • Connect individuals with others of similar interests and passions
  • Promote an OTAC community of lifelong learners
  • Strengthen commitment to the supporting organizations and groups for occupational therapy practice

Topic 2: Culturally-Informed Diabetes Care: The Hmong Experience

Presented by: Dora Vang, OTDS

Objectives:

50% of registration fee will be retained to cover processing costs. Written notice to staff(at)otaconline.org must be received in OTAC office 7 days prior to the event to be eligible for refunds. No refunds after this date. Disclaimer: OTAC reserves the right to make changes to the program. No refunds will be made based on these changes. Not all events are recorded. Recording is often at the discretion of the presenter(s). An event that was not recorded or had technical issues but was promoted as being recorded is not eligible for a refund.
