During the past year, the importance of self-care, working towards balance, and focusing on well-being has become obvious. As healthcare workers, we are naturally prone to care for others. The goal of this presentation is to review why and how to work towards balance and well-being.

About the Presenter

Dr. Charlotte Sykora, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist, born and raised in California. She attended graduate school in Hawaii, which highlighted the importance of work-life balance. Her clinical practice focuses on helping those with life-altering injuries and illnesses to cope with changes and challenges. During the pandemic, part of her role changed to the “Helping Healers Heal” program, and discussing how we as healthcare workers can cope with stress and take care of ourselves.
