The World Cup is a global soccer event, bringing countries together to share love and build camaraderie surrounding one sport: soccer/futbol! Attend this hour-long session to discuss how the World Cup impacted occupations in the US, changed global perspective, and highlighted occupational barriers in the US and visiting participants.
Learning objectives. During the session participants will:
- Examine how global events influence occupational participation, belonging, and cultural identity.
- Identify occupational promotions and barriers that occurred during the tournament.
- Reflect on the impact of global events on belonging and being in occupation.
About the D.R.I.V.E. Series. (Diversity. Respect. Inclusion. Voice. Engage.) A thoughtful, supportive space within the OTAC community for practitioners and students to reflect, connect, and learn together.
