Day in the Life Series #9 | Mental Health and Substance Abuse

When: Wednesday, October 11, 2023, 7:30pm - 8:30pm

Ronnie Dallatorre, OTD, OTR/L, is the academic fieldwork coordinator and an assistant professor at West Coast University – Center for Graduate Studies. He is a U.S. Navy veteran who grew up in Compton, CA, and is motivated and passionate about serving his community. He was stationed in Everett, WA, on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72), where he was a photojournalist and documented U.S. Navy life during Operation Unified Assistance (Thailand 2004-2005), Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dallatorre is a three-time graduate of the University of Southern California. During his residency in 2018 at Kedren’s Outpatient Wellness program, he developed and facilitated improv-based interventions for adults with mental and substance use disorders utilizing the Eight Dimensions of Wellness from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). His interests include baseball (Go Dodgers!!!), boxing, politics, and improv.
