Anxiety is a growing problem in the modern world. This course will examine the factors related to this emerging epidemic and provide participants with a range of tools that can help address this social issue.
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
- Identify social changes, historical events, and trends that have increase anxiety in our culture. This has particular salience to children, students, and young adults.
- Better understand the bio-psycho-social components of anxiety and the many ways that it can be a challenge to identify and manage.
- Learn a variety of coping strategies to address anxiety and improve resilience to stress. This will include a variety of hands-on techniques and practices that can be utilized in both one’s personal and professional lives.
