This engaging professional development session will explore leadership and motivation through the lens of occupational therapy (OT), elite sports, and real-world practice. Drawing from experiences as a national championship athlete, professional sports executive, and OT educator, Rhonda Windham, OTD, OTR/L, will challenge participants to redefine winning, not as perfection or burnout, but as purpose-driven leadership from within. Attendees will gain practical strategies to strengthen motivation, influence workplace culture, and step confidently into everyday leadership roles.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify leadership behaviors that occupational therapy practitioners demonstrate daily and describe how these skills translate to influence within clinical and organizational settings.
- Apply motivation principles to support personal resilience, professional engagement, and team culture in occupational therapy practice.
- Develop one actionable leadership habit that supports sustainable performance and ‘winning from within’ in the new year.
